a new life has begun

a new life has begun. yesterday i decide to treat myself. i got my hair colored a beautiful warm caramel color. i got it cut short and sassy, at least for me that is. i had a manicure, waxed my lip, eyebrow and chin. i pampered me. i considered yesterday the first day of my new life. i am moving on and will make my happiness my own way. i owe most of this to my kind and thoughtful mother. she has tried to motivate me for so long to lose weight to no avail, but she has finally gotten through to this thick noggin of mine that i do want to live and be happy with myself. i have to take control of my eating and look forward to what life has to bring. i have a long way to go, but baby i am on my way.
